Dress Code & School Uniform Policy
Uniforms help us easily identify our students and maintain safety and security of our campus and your children.
Students are expected to wear their Ho‘okele Elementary School Uniform shirt DAILY except on school designated special event days. Uniform shirts shall not be altered.
Students’ shorts or skirts shall be no shorter that the middle finger when arms are placed next to the body. Pants or bottoms that drag on the ground or stay below the hips are not permitted.
All clothing should also meet the following criteria:
Violations of the Dress Code and School Uniform Policy will be addressed through parent notification and requests for alternative clothing. If available, a loaner shirt will be provided. Loaners must be returned at the end of the school day. Disciplinary action under Chapter 19 may also be applied.
Jackets may be worn over top of a student’s uniform T-Shirt.

- No transparent fabrics, spaghetti straps, bared midriffs chest or back
- Clothing and/or accessories with inappropriate references to violence, drugs, sex and gang-related activities are UNACCEPTABLE.
- No heelys or other wheeled shoes can be worn on campus
